Pimlico Bar Brings West London’s Vibe and Bold British & Commonwealth Flavors to Calgary’s 17th Avenue

Calgary, AB – A new culinary hotspot is set to make waves in one of Calgary’s most vibrant entertainment districts. Pimlico Bar, an energetic West-London-style open kitchen and craft cocktail bar, will welcome guests for its grand opening on Friday, March 28th, 2025. Located on bustling 17th Avenue, Pimlico promises a vibrant, intimate, and stylish dining experience, blending modern British flavors with influences from across the Commonwealth and Europe.

At Pimlico, guests can expect an eclectic menu that reimagines British cuisine with a contemporary twist. The kitchen, led by a talented team of chefs, highlights fresh, seasonal ingredients, creating dishes that are both innovative and comforting. Meet Executive Chef Smit Rawal

Leading the culinary vision at Pimlico Bar is Executive Chef Smit Rawal, a London-trained talent with over 18 years of experience in world-class restaurants. His menus celebrate fresh, locally sourced ingredients while reinventing British culinary traditions with bold flavors and modern techniques. Guests can look forward to a dynamic selection of dishes that are as creative as they are delicious.

“We wanted to create a space that captures the essence of the best bars and restaurants in West London—warm, welcoming, and effortlessly stylish,” says co-owner Judy House. “Pimlico is about great food, fantastic cocktails, and an atmosphere where people can truly connect and enjoy themselves.”

Pimlico Bar will be open seven days a week, from noon until late. Reservations are encouraged, but walk-ins are always welcome to drop in and experience Pimlico’s signature hospitality.
